My students did an excellent job today! The assignment was for them to translate a short fragment of a Japanese book that they really liked and convince me (who was playing the role of an editor) that I should finance their full English translation of it. I got to learn about so many interesting books in the process. I will definitely repeat the exercise in future classes.
